Well, everyone (anyone?), I would say it's been great, but as this page hasn't been updated in over 2 years, it's quite clear I was bored with it. However, my website has been resurrected at livejournal. The way I see it, a personal page is cooler than a big-name site, but then all I ever really did here was a journal and a links page anyway.

6:55 AM 11/19/01 - Wow.
Ummm... wow. And more wow. I don't know how else to describe the Leonides Meteor Storm, which was visible the morning of the 18th. I was lucky enough to view it from a place with a decent view of the stars, out in the country. I had maybe seen two meteors in my life up until then... when I overcame my awe enough to begin a count, I counted over two hundred meteors in probably about an hour and a half. One of them was so brilliant, it lit up the ground like a flashbulb going off; I could actually see the blazing flames curling off it for an instant. All told, I think I watched about 3 hours of the storm.
It was truly a night of falling stars. I have seen nothing like it, and I've not felt that sense of simple awe since I stood on the rim of the Grand Canyon and felt the sheer size of it in the wind on my face. And never with anything else. Most certainly, I will remember the Leonides storm of 2001 for the rest of my life. And that was worth staying up all night, on a weekend anyway; wouldn't you agree?

5:58 AM 10/2/01 - Back In Action
After some significant downtime last month (read: the WTC attacks helped launch me into another long depressive phase...), Kemper's Pitch returns with a slightly changed look and some new content. Check all the various pages, there are changes everywhere. The games page is about blank of content, but I'm working full steam on sub-pages for the various games, which will be arriving whenever the hell I feel like it. There may even be a picture or two of me forthcoming, but don't hold your breath (unless you're mentioned by name in one of my rants, in which case, please do!) I may be changing hosting soon, but the current address will remain viable until well after the change, unless something drastic happens with my ISP. Any comments on the update, well, you know where the email link is...
Shouts (or is the term "Greetz"?) to Paul, Jane, Joe, Danny, or Adam if they're reading this. I suppose being a webmaster has made me one cool dude, right? It sure is swell - err, gnarly, I mean. Was that ok?
10:37 PM 9/11/01 - A Moment of Silence.
Kemper's Pitch is blanked today as my own moment of silence for the thousands who lie dead under tons of rubble in New York this evening. I felt it inappropriate to keep my site up, as loudmouthed and arrogant as ever, in the face of this tragedy. Writings are stored on the writings page for now. I'll be loudmouthed and arrogant another day. Tonight, I'm just terribly sad.
Please, people, let's end the hate and love each other instead.
