WHAT IS THE SPIRITUAL FRUIT OF ISLAM?
On Monday March 11, 2002, Saudi Arabia's religious police prevented a fire
rescue, allowing schoolgirls to die. According to Saudi newspapers, police
stopped schoolgirls from leaving a blazing building because in fleeing for their
lives they had not taken time to put on their socially "correct" and legally
required Islamic dress, which is necessary to appear in public.
In a rare criticism of the Saudi kingdom's powerful" mutaween" police, the
Saudi media has had the courage to accuse them of hindering attempts to save 15
girls who died in the fire on Monday.
"Approximately 800 pupils were inside the school in the "holy" city of Mecca
when the tragic events occurred. "15 girls were allowed to die in the blaze and
more than 50 others were injured. "According to the al-Eqtisadiah daily, firemen
confronted the inhumane police who were attempting to keep the girls inside the
burning structure, because they were not wearing the headscarves and abayas
(black robes) required by the kingdom's strict interpretation of Islam.
"One witness said he saw three policemen "beating young girls to prevent them
from leaving the school because they were not wearing their abaya".
"The Saudi Gazette quoted witnesses as saying that the police - properly
known as the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice - had
stopped men who tried to rescue the girls and warned them, "it is sinful to
approach them," apparently believing it was more proper to allow them to
perish.
"The father of one of the dead girls said that the schoolwatchman even
refused to open the gates to provide the girls a safe exit. "Lives could have
been saved had they not been stopped by members of the Commission for Promotion
of Virtue and Prevention of Vice," the newspaper concluded. "Relatives' anger
has been deeply stirred and the mourning "families of all the victims have been
incensed over the deaths.
"Many of the young victims were crushed in a stampede caused by their frantic
attempt to flee the blaze. "All entrances and exits to the school were initially
locked at the time of the fire - which is the usual practice to ensure full
segregation of the sexes.
"The religious police are universally, deeply feared within Saudi Arabia.
They roam the streets and alleyways, rigidly enforcing dress codes and sex
segregation, and ensuring that prayers are performed at their specified time.
"Those who do not immediately obey their orders are routinely beaten and
frequently put in jail."
"The word Islam is derived from the Arabic root, "SLM," which means, among other things, peace, purity, submission and obedience. In the religious sense, the word Islam means submission to the Will of Allah and obedience to His Law, the Qur'an." (Islam in Focus, by Hammudah Abdalati, Publisher: American Trust Publications, Indianapolis, copyright © 1975. p.7)
What Other Things Does Islam Mean?
The Qur'an Legitimizes Terrorism
The word Islam, however, with which Mohammad named his religion was also used for a sublime virtue in Arabian culture meaning, "defiance of death, heroism; to die in battle." War is the clear language of Islam, "The Qur'an teaches that scaring the enemy is an important step in defeating him"... Muhammad said, 'with terrorizing my enemy, I achieved a victory that can be
achieved only with a one-month-march of an army.' Therefore any means that can terrify the enemy is a legitimate means,"
If Islam means "submission" to Allah, who is Allah? At the time, Muhammad wrote the Qur'an, Allah was the moon god, the chief god of the Quraysh tribe of Mecca, Muhammad's tribe, in what was in the 6th and 7th centuries, A.D., the country of Persia, but is now Saudi Arabia.
The name was initially Al Ilah,(the god) which became Alilah, and then, eventually Allah.
To the Quraysh tribe, the name signified the moon god, for he was the "chief god" of the Quraysh tribe, and one of the 360 gods worshipped by the Arabian people of Islam's founder, Muhammad, in the 6th and 7th centuries A.D.
Like all Arabs, the Quraysh tribe are descended from Abraham through Ishmael, for, as recorded in Genesis, in the Sacred Scriptures of the Jews, Ishmael was the father of all the Arabs.
Members of Islam identity themselves as muslims, which means "those who submit" to Allah, and as worldwide evidence of the ancient roots of this "moon god," a crescent moon is still prominently displayed at the top of modern mosques today, as shown above, just as it was from the most ancient of mosques.
This same crescent moon with the ends curled, is also the symbol of the earliest Sumerian moon god of antiquity, for archaeologists have found bowls and pottery used in worship in the ancient ziggernaut temples in Ur and in Babylon with this same design. Over four thousand years ago, it was said to be the ship on which the moon god rode through the sky.
In the Tanakh, the Old Testament, God strictly forbid the idolatrous worship of the Moon-god (Deut. 4:19; 17:3; II Kings 21:3, 5 etc.) because it could cause Israel's descent into idolatry.
The Pagan Origins and Spread of Islam: Who Was Allah?
"Historically, the Islamic religion which serves "Allah" as the only and the supreme God, was never a religion of either "peace" or tolerance and in most of the world, it is not tolerant or peaceful today, for it is not so by nature. Despite the present speech of Islamic apologists, Islam was originally spread by the sword and has been maintained by the sword throughout its history.
In truth it has been an "empire" of brutal power that was spread by the sword of Islam, and it is as an empire that Islam is maintained to this day, albeit in the form of an all encompassing "religion" which was invented to serve as the glue for such an empire, for there are no Islamic democracies within "Islamic" nations, only dictatorships, with slavish citizens who are allowed no dissent. Islam falsely parades as "God's (Allah's) total will" for mankind.
- "Whenever someone tells them: 'Believe in what God has sent down;' they say: 'We believe [only] in what has been sent down to us,' while they disbelieve in what has come after that, even though it is the Truth confirming what they already have." (Qur'an 2:87 )
- Muslims claim that Allah is the same God who wrote the Bible, and that the message of the Qur'an is consistent with that of the Bible.
- Their appeal to Jews and Christians to convert to Islam rests on this issue, for if their deity is a different 'god' with a different message, their claims are refuted.
- In "Why I Am Not A Muslim," by Ibn Warraq, printed in 1995 by Prometheus, Amherst, he documented on page 42, how Islam had obtained the term "Allah" from the pre-Islamic pagan Arabs. "This term for deity became commonly used in numerous personal names in Northern Arabia and among the Nabatians. It occurred among the Arabs of later times, in theophorous names and on its own."
- The worship of the Moon-god "Suen" who was also called Nanna or Asimbabbaar, was the most commonly practised religion in the Middle East according to Mark Hall in his 1985 work called, "A Study of the Sumerian Moon-god, Nanna/Suen;" published by the University of Pennsylvania.
- The 10th chapter of the Biblical book of Genesis, in the Bible, describes Sumer as the first civilization after the flood of Noah. It is the location where the Tower of Babel and other ziggurats were built and used in the development of Astrology, which incorporated an alternate, idolatrous worship of the moon, sun and stars, i.e., God's creation, rather than the worship of the God of the Bible Himself (Romans 1).
- The symbol of the Sumerian Moon-god was the crescent moon, and it was constantly found on ancient pottery or artifacts of worship.
- Islam adopted the crescent moon as its religious symbol.
- In Mesopotamia the word "Suen" was transformed into the word "Sin" by the Sumerians as their favorite name for the Moon-god by the Sumerians (Austin Potts, 1971, The Hymns and Prayers To The Moon-god, Sin, Dropsie College, p. 2)
- Sin was the moon-god of Abram's family in Ur, before God called him to worship Him, and to leave Ur and to become Abraham and to go forth into a new nation "which God would show him."
- The name of the Moon-god was "Sin," but his title was "al-ilah" meaning "the deity."
- "Ilah" is a generic Arabic word for "god" or "deity."
- "The god Il or Ilah was originally a phase of the Moon God."[crescent moon] (Coon, Carleton S.; 1944. Southern Arabia, Washington D.C.: Smithsonian, p. 398)
- The pre-Islamic Arabs shortened 'al-ilah' to Allah, and used 'Allah' in the names of their children. Muhammed's father and uncle shared Allah as part of their respective names.
- "Under Muhammed's tutelage, the relatively anonymous Ilah (god), became Al-Ilah, The God, or Allah, the Supreme Being." (Coon, p. 399)
- Muhammad never felt it necessary to define "Allah" in the Qur'an because he understood that the pagan Arabs were already completely familiar with Allah's identity.
- Al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat called "the daughters of Allah." Yusuf Ali explains in fn. 5096, pg. 1445, that Lat, Uzza and Manat were known as "the daughters of God [Allah]."
- "The name Allah, as the Qur'an itself is witness, was well known in pre-Islamic Arabia. Indeed, both it and its feminine form, Allat, are found not infrequently among the theophorous names in inscriptions from North Africa." (Arthur Jeffrey, ed., Islam: Muhammad and His Religion, New York: The Liberal Arts Press, 1958, p. 85.)
- Muhammad rejected the other deities of Ancient Arab, including Ilah's wives and daughters, however, he kept the ancient idolatrous black stone (meteorite) which represented Allah.
- Islam's Arabic pagan origins and practices of worship have been tracked back by scholars to the ancient fertility religion of the moon god of Arabia.
- "The moon god was worshipped by praying toward Mecca several times each day, embarking on an annual pilgrimage to the Kabah, the temple of the moon god, running around the Kabah seven times, caressing the idol of the black meteorite stone set in the wall of the Kabah, running between two hills, making animal sacrifices, gathering on Fridays for prayers, and in giving alms to the poor. Reknown Christian author, Dr. Robert Morey, reveals these were all pagan rites practiced by the Arabs long before Muhammad was born." (Dr. Robert Morey; http://www.cultbusters.com/aorigin.htm)
- "Ancient Arabic Pagan Worship centered around ancient Astrology, which had originated in Babylon... The sun and the moon and the five planets then visible to the naked eye, were each identified with a living deity, god or goddess, with qualities of its own.
- Moon worship was equally popular in various forms... The moon was a male divinity in ancient India; it was also a male divinity in ancient Semitic religion, and the Arabic word, qamar, meaning moon is of the masculine gender. The Arabic word for the sun, shama, however, is feminine in gender. The pagan Arabs worshipped the sun as a goddess and the moon as a god.
- The Pagan deities best known in the Ka'ba and round about Mecca were Lat, Uzza and Manat...They were all female goddesses, the daughters of the moon god, Allah." (Yusuf Ali: pgs. 1619-1623)
- In his explanation of why the Qur'an swears by the moon in Surah 74:32, "Nay, verily by the Moon," Yusuf Alli comments, "The moon was worshipped as a deity in times of darkness." (fn. 5798, pg. 1644)
- Muhammad commanded his followers to participate in these pagan ceremonies while the pagans were still in control of Mecca. (See Yusuf Ali, fn. 214, pg. 78.)
- Islam went on to adopt these pagan religious rites. "...the whole of the ancient pre-Muhammad [pagan] pilgrimage was retained, spiritualized, and eventually incorporated into the Qur'an as a valid part of Islam..." (Yusuf Ali: fn. 223 pg. 80)
- Al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat called "the daughters of Allah". Yusuf Ali explains in fn. 5096, pg. 1445, that Lat, Uzza and Manat were known as "the daughters of God [Allah]".
- The stars (now so prominent as Islamic symbols in their national flags) were used as pagan symbols of the daughters of Allah.
- The Qur'an at one point originally told Muslims to worship al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat in Surah 53:19-20.
- Those verses which have been "abrogated," i.e., removed out of the present Qur'an became known as "The Satanic Verses."
- The Arab tribes gave the Moon-god different titles: Sin, Hubul, Ilumquh, Al-ilah.
- The title "al-ilah" (the god) was used for the Moon-god.
- The word "Allah" gradually developed from "al-ilah."
- The pagan "Allah" was a high god in a pantheon of 360 deities worshipped at the pagan shrine, the Ka'bah.
- Allah was only one of the many Meccan gods in the Ka'bah.
- The Muslims placed a statue of Hubul on top of the Ka'bah, at that time Hubul was considered the Moon-god by the Arabs.
- The Ka'bah was the "house of the Moon-god" and the name "Allah" eventually replaced that of Hubul as the name of the Moon god.
They called the Ka'bah the "house of Allah."
- "Historians like Vaqqidi have said Allah was actually the chief of the 360 gods being worshipped in Arabia at the time Muhammad fought his way to prominence. Ibn Al-Kalbi gave 27 names of pre-Islamic deities...
Although modern Muslims are sometimes extremely indignant when confronted with the historical proof that pagan Arabs were already worshipping Allah as the pagan chief tribal god, at the Ka'bah in Mecca, long before Muhammad enforced his "new" belief that Allah alone was to be worshipped, this historical information contained in pre-Islamic literature, is factual.
(G.J.O. Moshay in Who Is This Allah?, Dorchester House, Bucks, UK, 1994, p. 138,) among many others, has proven that the literal truth of these historical facts is undeniable.
Islamic society and Islamic theology are inseparably one, and they divide the entire world into only two nations or two parts:
- Dar-al-Salaam (House of Peace) composed of all those on earth who have already submitted to Allah
- Dar-al-Harb (House of War) consisting of all the infidels on earth who have not yet submitted to Allah, but who must eventually be forced to do so.
Another ancient source of information about the view and impression of contemporary peoples toward the new religion of "Islam," and it's founder, Muhammad, after it emerged, is found in the Mandaean religion's 248 line scroll called "The Haran Gawaitha," dated from the 7th to 9th centuries, A.D.
Mandaeanism (from Mandaean mandayya, "having knowledge"), is an ancient Middle Eastern religion still surviving in Iraq and Khuzistan (southwest Iran). The religion is usually treated as a Gnostic sect; it resembles Manichaeism in some respects. Most scholars date the beginnings of Mandaeanism somewhere in the first three centuries A.D.; their impression of Islam, and the reputation of Islam from their contacts with this new religion Muhammad had founded is as follows:
"I will tell you, (O ye ) priests who live in the Arab age, (of that which occurred) before the Son-of-Slaughter, the Arab, went out and prophesied as a prophet in the world so that they performed circumcision like Jews and changed sayings - for he is the most degraded of false prophets. Mars [God of War]accompanieth him because he is the Seal of prophets of the Lie, (although) the Messiah will appear after him at the end of the age! I will inform you, Nasoraeans, that before the Son-of-Slaughter, the Arab, emerged and was called prophet in the world and Mars descended with him, he drew the sword and converted people to himself by the sword."
The Haran Gawaitha of the Mandaeans continues: "Thus, before the appearance of the Son-of-Slaughter, the Arab, the Christian, Idumaean, Jewish, Hurdabaean and Dilbilaean peoples became many."
"And so a Hardabaean (Sasanian) dynasty ruled for three hun- dred and sixty years , and then the Son of Slaughter, [Muhammad] the Arab, set up as king, went forth and took a people to himself and performed circumcision. (Even then), after this had happened and these events had taken place, sixty banners (still) remained and pertained to me in Baghdad. Then he took the sword and put to the sword from the city of Damascus unto Bit Dubar, which is called Bdin. He governed it all and ruled over the lord of the hill-country of the Persians who are called Hardbaeans and took away sovereignty from them."
"Then, when this had taken place, in time there came (one) Anus', called the son of Danqa, from the uplands of the Arsaiia [from (to? ) the city of Baghdad bis'us' kings of the planting of Artabanus, and brought in his own, belonging to Muhammad son of 'Abdallah son-of-Slaughter, the Arab, - . And he took him from his city to Suf-Zaba which is called Basrah, and showed him the hill-country of the Persians (unto) the city of Baghdad. And Anus' (-'Uthra?) instructed the Son-of-Slaughter, as he had instructed Anus'-son-of Danqa, about this Book (compiled) by his fathers, upon which all kings of the Nasoraeans stood firm. Then he told him about the king of the Ardubaiia (Sasanians); about all he sought to do and (of) his connection with the children of the great Nation of Life, in order that they (the Moslems) should not harm the Nasoraeans who lived in the era of his government. Thus did Anus'-son-of-Danqa explain and speak so that, through the power of the lofty King of Light - praised be his name! - it was not permitted to the Son-of-Slaughter, the Arab, to harm the congregation of souls, owing to the protection afforded by these explanations of the Great Revelation - praised be its name!"
Of great interest is the consistent condemnation of Muhammad and his new "religious" movement as a religion of violence and of slaughter, from the very time of their inception. Of equal interest is the simularity of the wording above praising the Mandaean's own "Great Revelation," an esteemed "holy document" of the Mandaeans and the language of glowing praise which Muhammad then used in praise of Muhammad's own recitations, which eventually resulted in the "Qur'an," the Arab's own "book of Great Revelation," which was written down and collected into one book by his followers, after his death.
The Haran Gawaitha continues:
"And, concerning that which I found in these commentaries on the Great Revelation , I found not (its equal?) amongst all the treatises and mis'rria and miscellanies about the Great Life which were in libraries and in my possession. I went round to all the Nasoraean ris'-amia that there were; I saw many scripts, writings of research and manuscripts of the Great Revelation, but saw not the like of this well-established Source. For it is reliable, existing from ancient times and eternally, from the beginning of the eighth world unto worlds' end."
This is amazingly similar to the claims that Muhammad made for his own revelation, the Qur'an.
"And then Hibil-Ziwa - praised be his name! - taught Nasoraeans about the end of the last age. "For evil will increase and pollutions will be many and abound in the world, since it is decreed that wickedness will increase and pollutions multiply greatly in the world; because it is destined in that age. So that of a great shekel of gold but half-a-draehma's weight will rise up to the Light; everything will sink down into Darkness. In that period and epoch -from the rule of the Arab Son-of-Slaughter unto the end of the worlds - persecution and tribulation will increase for Nasoraeans; purity will decrease and pollutions, adultery, theft and fraud will increase."
"And men will be polluted and during that period man will drink the blood of fellow-man. All that is fair (will disappear), ... Hibil-Ziwa taught concerning this age - that is, the age of the Arab Law - that it must needs occupy its destined span, for the Law is constituted of four mysteries; part therein is (of) the Light, and part therein wholly Root of Darkness. ...And It is formed from four natural humours: the Root of Darkness is composed of and arrayed in blood, gall,(wind), and mucus."
"(During) this Arab age every evil creature multiplieth like evil weeds that grow apace, and peoples, nations and languages disperse and become measureless and numberless, like the Darkness that came into being with abundance."
Hibil-Ziwa taught that "At the latter end of the world, when the Arab, the Son-of-Slaughter, hath completed his (allotted)... years, it will come to pass that the false Messiah, son of Miriam, will succeed him, and that he will come and will show forth signs (wonders) in the world until the birds and the fish from sea and rivers open their mouths and bless him and give testimony, until (even) the clay and mudbrick in a building bear witness to him, and until four-legged creatures open their mouths and testify to him."
Although the Scroll of the gnostic Mandaeans does not worship Jesus, as they were a cult who worshipped "the knowledge of men" instead, nevertheless, Jesus is much praised and recognized for his miracles and the blessings which nature bestows upon Him. This is a great contrast to the consistant reference to Muhammad, the Arab, as the "Son-of-Slaughter."
This 5th to 7th century scroll gives further understanding to the role of terrorists which the followers of Muhammad are exhibiting even today, as a direct "fruit" of their belief in Muhammad and the Qur'an, for it is the same behavior Muhammad and his followers displayed during their own lifetime.
Hibil-Ziwa taught: " When the Messiah hath returned, ascending to the sky - and his reign will last six thousand years - he will ascend and assume his first body. From that epoch until worlds' end, wickedness will depart from the world; that which issued from the earth will enter the earth and that which descended from the sky will return and enter the sky. And there will be righteous people in the world, and no man will covet his neighbour's goods. And people's senses will return to them and they will not perform circumcision; they will be converted and Nasoraeans will increase in the world. The eye of envy will be lifted from them and the sword will depart from the world. It will be as if the sword brought by [Muhammad] the Son of Darkness, he whose sword was of the world of Satan ?, had never been in the world. And with it (goeth?) a force which he possessed not in the world; until Mars [God of War] came and set up his sign and bound him thereto by oath."
"And, as the utter end of light meaneth the beginning of total darkness, so the portion of Qin, the decadence of the Arab age and the end of the eighth world (succeeded mine)."
Hibil-Ziwa: (further) "eventually, after the sword of the "Son of Slaughter, Muhammad" was removed from the world, "(Yea), there will be righteous people and government will revert to sons of the Great Family of Life, and they will be diligent and have the ascendance. ...And people will be converted, and there will be righteous people and righteousness will increase. ... and ill-will shall be removed from the minds of all peoples, nations and tongues." [End of Quote}
The religion of Islam was reported by U.S. News & World Report in 10/8/1990, as growing at the rapid rate within the United States of 400% per year. This is a rate of 400% per year. One third of all the Muslims in the U.S. are African Americans. Islam now has mosques in every major city in Europe and most cities in the United States, and is the second largest religion in the world, second only to Christianity, with 1.1 billion followers.
The Qur'an demands of all the "Umma" -the Islamic people of the world who have already submitted to Allah, a divine mandate to convert or if necessary, to force (through Jihad) all the remaining peoples of the world, to become part of their one "Umma," which is to consist of one Islamic religion, one Islamic society and one Islamic government. In order to be true to the teachings of the Qur'an, they can not cease from their Holy Jihad, or "struggle," until this is accomplished. That is Islam's goal.
The Background of Muhammad
Ubu'l-Kassim, who would become known as Muhammad and found the Islamic religion, was born in 570 A.D. in Mecca, a city fifty miles each of the Red Sea, which was then part of Persia, but is now Saudi Arabia. He is said to have been born into a respected family of the Hashemite clan of the Quraysh tribe. His father, Abdullah, died within a few months of Muhammad's birth, and his mother, Amina, died of an illness when he was six.
He then lived with his grandfather, Abdul Mutalib, who was the acknowledged leader of Mecca and the ruler of the Ka'aba, the cubical shrine protecting the ancient black meteorite stone which was worshipped as a idol by the ancient polytheistic and pantheistic preIslamic Arabs who were all required to visit this shrine to pay homage to it and to the 360 other tribal idols residing there. This was a source of power and financial income to Muhammad's family and tribe.
Muhammad lived with his grandfather for two years, until he was 8, when his grandfather too passed away. He was then raised by his uncle, Abu Talib, a poor merchant trader whom Muhammad, during his early years, accompanied on his business journeys to Syria. At the age of 25, Muhammad married Khadija, a wealthy 40 year old widow for whom he had worked as a caravan leader. Of the seven children born to them, his four sons died in infancy, and of his three daughters, there was only one, Fatima, who lived to adulthood. She later married the Caliph Ali, whom all Muslim Shiites, unlike the Sunnis and other sects, consider to be the first rightful successor to Muhammad.
Muhammad, during his adulthood married an additional fourteen (14) wives, although in the Qur'an, he specified that muslim men could have a total of only four wives, and before marrying a 5th that man must divorce one of the other four. In Islam, a divorce requires only that a husband say "I divorce thee," three times in front of witnesses. Muhammad claimed that because he was God's prophet he was personally exempt from the Qur'anic limit of four wives, and instead, he was to be allowed as many wives as he wished.
Muhammad, which means the "praised one," spent much of his time meditating in solitary, often in caves. He was constantly preoccupied with religious practises and precepts, and with the enforcement of moral issues, and in searching for a new social structure in which his people could live. His complex personality is a great mystery to those who have studied him. He is said to have developed his own particular and extreme singular concept of "Monotheism," and accordingly, eliminated the idolatrous worship of the 360 lesser gods (one for each day of their lunar calendar year) whom the other tribes within his people worshipped, and insisting that instead of many, they worship only one god, whom he named as the ancient chief god of his own Quraysh tribe, which was the moon god, Allah.
He also proved to be capable of performing great slaughters in the name of Allah, and committed mass murders of those who refused to follow his new religion by submitting to his supreme leadership and to his particular concepts of worship within his new religion.
He eventually came to believe that he had been called to ministry beginning in his fortieth year of life, during the month of Ramadan. While in a cave on the slopes of Mount Hira, just outside of Mecca, he had a terrifying vision of a spiritual being, who claimed to be the Archangel, Gabriel, of the Bible, who now contradicted the message of the Bible by telling Muhammed, "Thou art the Messenger of God." According to Muhammad, the "angel" proceded to subdue him by choking him three times, and then gave him the command to "read," which, being illiterate, he considered a commandment to "recite," as "qur'an" can mean either; the spirital being told Muhammad in the following words of Sura 96:1-5:
"Recite, (or read) in the name of the Lord who has created,
Created man from clots of blood,
Recite, seeing that the Lord is the most generous,
Who has taught by the use of the pen
Taught man what he did not know."(Surah 9:1-5, The Quaran)
Muhammad believed he had been possessed by a demon, but his followers have recorded that Khahija, his wife, eventually convinced him to believe that he had indeed been called as a holy prophet to the Arabs, as a messenger of God.
In one of Muhammad's visions, he claimed, he went to heaven and was told that he was the greatest man on earth.
Muhammed's wife was a woman of some financial wealth, which enabled him to spend time in solitude and meditation in the mountains around Mecca, usually in a cave, and he continued to receive visions over a period of 22 years, which he committed to his memory, and then "recited" to his relatives and friends. It is claimed that Muhammed was illiterate, being unable to either read or write, but he told his followers what had been revealed to him during his visions, and they memorized his words, and sometimes wrote his teachings down on stone, leather, scraps of parchment, and even on bones.
Muhammad's flight on July 16, 622 A.D., from Mecca to Medina ("city of the prophet") is called the "Hejira" and now marks the beginning of the Moslem calendar.
Muhammad never had his "recitings" organized or written down as a book during his lifetime, and he failed to name a successor before he died. Following his death, his followers were ordered by his first successor, Abu Bakr, to gather together these writings, 78,000 words. Eventually, his third successor ordered them compiled into a book which is now known as the "Koran" or "Qur'an," meaning "recite."
The Quran consists of 114 surahs, or chapters, arranged with the longest surah at the beginning and the shortest at the end, rather than in any kind of chronological order.
Muslims revere the Qur'an as holy, believing it was given to Muhammad by the God, Allah, and that it is a copy of an original "tablet" which is in heaven. Muslims believe the Qur'an is the only religious book on earth that truthfully represents Allah's will toward all mankind.
The Jews at Medina initially welcomed him, but later rejected his "religion," which he interpreted as turning against him as enemies. Muhammad killed them and no longer prayed toward Jerusalem.
Muhammad gathered an army and conquered the surrounding tribes and forced them to accept his religion at swordpoint, which is hardly a sincere conversion. This spirit of conquering and converting through Jihad or 'holy war' was considered a valid expression of Islamic spirituality, and was the primary means of the spread of Islam in the early stages.
The Islamic commonwealth then began to emerge and take shape through traditional raids and conquests in which Bedouin's had always engaged, due to their customary free spirit and love for movement and booty which were all now channeled into the call of "Holy" Jihad.
At the time of his death in 632 A.D., all of Arabia was under Muhammad's control and being ruled by the teachings of Islam.
Within one century after Muhammad's death, Islam had conquered Northern Africa and the Middle East; eventually conquering Spain, Turkey, India, and part of China. Only through defeat at the Battle of Tours in 732 A.D., was Islam prevented from conquering all of Europe.
Six Islamic Doctrines (The Central Duties of Islam)
There are six basic doctrines which every Muslim in the world is required to believe. Former Muslim, Nasser Lotfi, in Iranian Christian, describes them as follows:
- There is only one true God, who is all-seeing, all-knowing, and all-powerful; he is unknowable, and he predestines all that happens, whether good or evil, and His name is Allah.
- Muslims believe in angels; Gabriel, the chief angel of God, a fallen angel named Shaitan, and the "djinn" (demons), the followers of Shaitan.
- Muslims believe in four God-inspired books: the Torah of Moses, the Zabur (David's Psalms), the Injil (New Testament of Jesus), and the Quran. They believe the Quran to be Allah's final word to mankind, superseding all God's previous revelations, which are said to now be perverted, and no longer reflective of Allah's will.
- The Quran lists 28 prophets of Allah, including the Biblical prophets: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses David, Jonah, and Jesus. They believe Muhammad to be the seal of the prophets, meaning he is God's final and greatest prophet.
- Muslims believe that on the "last day," the dead will be resurrected, and Allah will judge each person based on their lifetime of works. If their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, they will go to a sensual heaven, where they are to be served by 72 virgins.
- Muslims believe in predestination, and that no one can change what God has determined in every moment of their lives; thus believing that no matter what happens, it is God's will. This, in effect, does away with any personal sense of responsibility for anything that might occur. Thus, within Islamic culture, the saying, "enshallah", or "as God wills," is heard repeatedly.
Five Pillars of Faith (The Central Duties of Islam)
In addition, to the six doctrines of belief just stated, every muslim must perform the following five duties:
- To become a muslim, a person must publicly repeat the Shahadah: "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah."
- Prayers must be recited in ritual form five times daily, by kneeling and prostating oneself on a prayer rug, in the direction of the holy city, Mecca.
In Matthew 6:7, Jesus said: "And in praying use not vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking."
- Muslim law today requires that believers give one-fortieth of their income, which is two and one half percent, to benefit islamic works, including the building of Islamic schools, purchasing of arms for militant muslims, as well as the relief of widows, orphans, the ill and other empoverished Islamic people. Muslims believe any of these purposes are equally of service to Islam, and valid in providing them the opportunity to fulfill their lawful responsibility.
In the Bible, however: [2 Cor 9:7] "Each one must give as he has purposed in his own mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
- The entire ninth month of the Muslim lunar year, Ramadan, is a month of fasting during the daylight hours, in observance of Muhammad's visitation by "Gabriel" during this month, and his receipt of the recitation which culminated in the "Qur'an."
No food, drink, or tobacco is allowed, and no sexual activities permitted between the hours of sunup to sundown, as this time is to magnify and thank Allah. Special foods are prepared, and a large meal is consumed immediately after dusk, and again before dawn, each day of this month, followed by three days of congratulatory feasting upon the month's completion.
- Once, during each Muslim's lifetime, he is to go on a Hadj, or pilgrimage to Mecca which tradition teaches was built by Abraham and his son, Ishmael. While there, the pilgrim performs ancient preIslamic rituals practiced for centuries by Muhammad's ancestors. While there, it is necessary to pray before the large 50 foot black cubical, the Kaaba, which houses an ancient black meteorite stone, and to ritually run around it seven times and to kiss the black meteorite stone inside the Kaaba, drink from the ancient well called Zamzam, where it is claimed that Hagar, Ishmael's mother drank, and the Muslim performs other running exercises and acts of devotion, such as throwing rocks over his shoulder at the three stone pillars which he has been told will frighten away the "djinn" or demons which the stone pillars represent.
If physically, unable to go to Mecca, a muslim may send another as his representative
Where did this custom of throwing rocks over one's shoulder arise?
The custom can be found in the ancient mythological origins of the Olympics, which include the story that Pelops defeated and killed his would-be father-in-law in a chariot race or that Hercules put on the games to honor his father after he defeated the perfidious King Augeas. The Pythian Games, too, have mythological origins. During the Great Flood, Deucalion and Pyrrha were spared, but when they arrived on dry land at Mt. Parnassus there were no other people around. Saddened by this, they prayed to the demon god at the temple there to receive an oracle, and were given this advice:
“Depart from me and veil your brows;
ungird your robes, and cast behind you as you go,
the bones of your great mother (earth goddess).”
Skilled in the ways of oracles from the gods, Deucalion understood that by the bones of the great mother (Gaia, the pagan Earth Mother goddess), rocks were meant, so he and his wife walked away throwing stones behind them. The stones Deucalion threw, according to the pagan "fertility" legend, would became men; those Pyrra threw, women.
Dr. Hammudah Abdalati, former full-time director of the Canadian Islamic Center of Edmonton, Alberta, displays the extremely legalistic focus of Islam, and the demands upon worshippers of doing specific "works", as he writes in Islam in Focus, that in addition to the above measures, to prevent man from insanity and degeneration, from indecency and temptation, and from weakness and indulgence, Islam has, as preventive and precautionary measures, prohibited certain things pertaining to food, drinking, recreation and sex, among which are:
- All kinds of intoxicating wines, liquors and spirits(Qur'an 2:219; 4:43; 5:93-94;)
- The meat and products of swine (pork, bacon, ham, lard), of wild animals that use their teeth and claws to kill their victims, (tigers, wolves, leopards, etc.), of all birds of prey (vultures, hawks, crows, etc.), of rodents, reptiles, worms, and the like, of dead birds and animals that are not slaughtered properly (Qur'an 2:172-173; 5:4-6)
- All forms of gambling and vain sports (Qur'an 2:219; 5:93-94)
- All sexual relations out of wedlock, and all manners of walking, talking, looking and dressing in public that may instigate temptation, arouse desire, stir suspicion, or indicate immodesty and indecency (Qur'an 23:5-7; 24:30-33; 70:29-31)
Dr. Abdalati explains the Islamic belief that: "This act of prohibition is introduced by Allah for the spiritual and mental well-being of man as well as for the moral and material benefit of humanity."
The Qur'an is "Anti-Christ" toward Jesus Christ
- The Qur'an has over 90 verses specifically about Jesus Christ. He is called Jesus son of Mary or "Issa ben Maryam". Although many verses recognize his supernatural birth and abilities to perform miracles, the Qur'an is self-contradictory about Jesus, denying His death on the cross and His resurrection, which are the central message of the entire Bible, Old Testament and New Testament. In this respect, the Qur'an is decidedly "anti-Christ, as it denies God's only theme, and supreme purpose in writing the Old Testament and New Testament, which was to reveal His one plan for salvation and reconciliation between men and God, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- The Qur'an describes the birth of Jesus Christ in chapter 19, which is called "Surat Maryam". It is a version of the record of Jesus's birth reminiscent of the 1st and 2nd chapter of the Bible's book of Luke, although the Qur'an perverts it.
- Jesus is described as a prophet who brought the New Testament message from God called the "Injeel." Islam accepts Jesus as the promised Messiah of the Jews.
- Most Muslims are unaware of the very high standing that Jesus is often given in the Qur'an.
- Jesus is also acknowledged to be sinless and He is called the "Spirit of Truth."
- He is also called the Word of God (Surah 19:34) and to be Judge on the Judgement Day (Surah 3:45).
- In the Qur'an, Jesus is called the healer, as he healed the blind, the sick and even raised the dead.
- In the Qur'an, Jesus is acknowledged to be alive (Surah 3:55), and all other prophets are dead.
Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it more abundantly." John 10:10
It would behoove all those who study this issue, as to whom Jesus Christ truly is, to hear the Words of warning, God spoke forth through the wise King Solomon in Proverbs:
Proverbs 8:35-36: [God said,] "For whoever gets Me gets life, and grace from the Lord will come to him.
But he who does evil to Me, does wrong to his soul: all My haters are in love with death."
The Fruits of Islam's Pagan Origins and Background
Islam is a dominant force within Asia and Africa and has been for many centuries. There is, by law, no allowance of marrying into other religions in most Muslim countries, without incurring the death penalty for doing so, thus, all progeny is and must remain Islamic. Marriage is a duty and large families are encouraged.
Historically, ALL Countries with a high population of Muslims (Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc.) have a well earned reputation for persecuting Christians.
Christian nations in the West, however, ALL tolerate Islam, as they believe in freedom of conscience and freedom of religion, although Islamic countries are unwilling to tolerate Christianity in any form, as the concept of such freedom is foreign to them, and the Qur'an does not teach it, but specifically instructs to treat other faiths as an inferior people until such time as they can be either converted or slaughtered.
Islam is a theocracy, which means that Muslim religious laws govern both religious, criminal and civil matters: both personal and public laws. There is absolutely nothing with which Sharia (Islamic law) does not concern itself.
Ibn Al Rawandi has explained in a critique of "Why I Am Not a Muslim" that there is no way that Islam can reform itself and remain Islamic, because it is completely incompatible with a cultural pluralism of religions, free speech, critical thought and/or democracy. Those who are totally convinced that they have received a mandate from Allah to be his warriors and to subdue the earth, and that they already possess all truth do not have the capacity or tolerance to peacefully coexist with concepts and values of freedom.
Although Muslims resident within traditionally non-Muslim countries such as the United States, insist upon every kind of indulgence for their own beliefs, customs, rights and freedoms, the record of history leaves no doubt that whenever they obtain any degree of political, economic and/or social power they will immediately impose their own beliefs upon others and gradually eliminate all cultural and religious differences by any means possible.

Muslims today claim that Islam can bridge the gap between Jews and Christians. In reality, however, Islam attempts to do this by presenting both Christianity and Judiasm as a brief and obsolete transitional phase with which Allah is now through. They insist that Allah has moved on and Islam is now in the final phase of his work for mankind, the fulfillment of his word as revealed in the Qur'an, and the final command of his will to mankind.
It is thus that Muhammad proclaims that Islam has replaced both Judaism and Christianity. Because of the present determination and militancy of Islam in our own world, and because of past and present Christian apostasy, indifference and general complacency in much of the world, Muslim "evangelism" and militancy now threatens the spread of Christianity, as well as its continued practice in many lands.
Many Christian denominations and churches in the west have become largely impotent; viewing the projection of the New Age concept of univeral "tolerance" as more important than the Biblical evangelism required in order to fulfill the "Great Commission," given us by Jesus Christ.
Because Evangelistic missionary zeal has been abandoned by most denominations, Christians are generally more interested in affirming Muslims in their own faith, thus enabling them to "feel good about themselves," than they are in the spiritually discerning and politically incorrect task of exposing Islam as the Satanic evil which the Bible teaches us that it is."
ISLAMIC TERMS AND THEORIES BIBLICALLY EXAMINED
The Hadith is a written record of the customs, teachings and/or practices of Muhammad: one of the main sources of deriving Islamic law.
Sharia. Islamic law consisting of the teachings of the Quran, the sunna of the prophet which is incorporated in the recognized traditions; the general agreement of the scholars of the orthodox community; the method of reasoning by equivalence.
Sunna. Properly, a custom or practice, and later narrowed down to the routine of the Prophet or a tradition stating the same.
"Islam" means to "surrender." "Muslim" means "those who submit."
In the Bible, however, Mindless submission is discouraged, instead the Bible encourages obeying God, out of love and gratitude, in response to His initial love and grace for us.
Matthew 22:37: The Greatest Commandment is: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind."
2 Corinthians 5:14-15: "For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again."
Although Muhammad claimed to believe in the Jewish and Christian scriptures, whenever these Scriptures are found to disagree with the Qur'an, the Muslim have been taught God's Word has been perverted because The Qur'an claims to supercede all other revelations and claims to be Allah's final word to mankind.
If one accepts these claims about the superiority and preeminence of the Qur'an they must then accept the belief that the Bible has been perverted or changed, because it is very obvious upon examining both the Bible and the Qur'an that the Qur'an contradicts the Bible in many places and in many ways, adding stories about the Biblical prophets and about Jesus which do not appear in the Bible and often contradict those that do.
It is therefore impossible for both the Bible and the Qur'an to be the correct word of God. One of them has to be wrong, because God does not contradict himself. Another and rather obvious possibility is that the author of the Qur'an was not the God of the Bible, but an imposter, a demonic spiritual entity claiming to be Gabriel.
According to the Qur'an, Allah has spoken to man through 28 prophets; 22 are from the Old Testament; three are from the New Testament.
Muslim Shiites claim that God has sent at least 124,000 prophets.
Alexander the Great is named as a prophet of Allah.
According to the Qur'an, Islam's six greatest prophets were all in the bible:
Adam
Noah
Abraham
Moses
Jesus
Muhammad, whom the Qur'an calls the last and greatest prophet of Allah, although there is no valid evidence of Muhammad ever being mentioned in the Bible, is claimed by Muslims to be the "helper" whom Jesus promised to send back to His followers.
The Qur'an teaches there will be a resurrection of the dead and a judgement day at the end of the world when Allah will reward men according to their deeds, which will be weighed on a scale. One's good works must outweigh the bad in order to go to Paradise. Otherwise he will go to Hell.
If a Muslim dies in a holy war or "Jihad," he is guaranteed eternal life in Paradise, which is a physical place of sensual pleasures (lust) where each Islamic martyr will have a harem of 72 beautiful women (houris) who will bear children for him, and other Muslim men will have a lesser amount.
Divisions in Islam
Following Muhammad's death in 632 A.D., a great unholy struggle for control of this new religion resulted in the murder of Abu Bakr, Muhammad's first successor. Islam then split into three major divisions:
Sunnis: The majority of Moslems belong to the Sunni division. Historically, the Sunnis have been somewhat more democratic in practice than other Moslem sects, electing their religious leader through elections by tribal leaders and believing that they can pray directly to Allah. "Sunni" refers to the "practice and tradition" of Muhammad. They look to Muhammad's example as recorded in the "hadith" when situations arise which have no precedent in the Qur'an.
Shiites: They are a elitist and militant division of Islam, who unlike "Sunnis" have a religious leader as a mediator between themselves and Allah. This division includes much of Syria and Iran and also has a sizeable population in Iraq, all countries where "fundamentalism" has created much of the terrorism in the Middle East in recent decades. "Shiite" means "party" or faction. Ali, who married Muhammad's daughter, and was Muhammad's son-in-law was the first leader of this party. He and his two sons were murdered by other Muslims. The Shiites took control of Iran in 1979 with Ayatollah Khomeini as their leader and inspiration. Their claim is they are the only true followers of Islam.
Sufis: They are the mystic sect of Islam. They oppose a rigid interpretation of the Qur'an and seek to find a more personal relationship with Allah through estatic 'experiences,' such as religious dancing. The "Whirling Dervishes" who practice frenzied, mind altering "religious" dancing are of this sect.
The Qur'an Forbids Questioning
Muslims are commanded not to ask questions about their own faith.
"O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith." (Surah 5:101-102)
Please note: The above quote states that when the answers are "made plain" people lost their faith in Islam. What does that imply about the religion itself?
It appears that questioning or inquiring about Islam is forbidden because it will cause Muslims to loose their faith in Islam!
Generally, when someone does not want you to ask questions, it is because they have something to hide. A famous commentator on the Qur'an, Maududi, warns Muslims against probing too deeply into Islam:
"The Holy Prophet himself forbade people to ask questions--so do not try to probe into such things." (Maududi, The Meaning of the Qur'an, Vol. III, pgs. 76-77)
Bukhari's Hadith tells us how Muhammad responded to those who asked questions:
"The prophet was asked about things which he did not like, and when the questioner insisted, the Prophet got angry." (Vol. 1, no. 92)
"The prophet got angry and his cheeks or his face became read." (Vol. 1, no. 91)
"What kind of god is Allah who hates people for asking questions? This is not like the God of the Bible who encourages us to seek, to ask, and to knock! Why is Muhammad pictured as hating those who asked him questions? Why were people warned not to ask any questions? What is Islam trying to hide? Is Islam so weak that merely asking questions threaten to destroy it? Do Muslims assume that blind faith is the way to Islam?" (Dr. Robert Morey; http://www.cultbusters.com/allah.htm)
In contrast, the Bible commends those very highly who insist upon making inquiries to confirm information.
"Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." (Acts 17:11)
Islam "Is Ancient Paganism/Heathenism In Monotheistic Form."
The following explanation of basic Islam explains the foundations of the ongoing struggles in the world today, between the United States and Al Qaeda, between India and Pakistan, between Checnya and Russia, between Israel and the Palestinians, and many many other conflicts in many other locations where Islamic people simply refuse to coexist "peacefully" with people of other faiths.
Because Islam lies at the foundation of the present deadly conflict in the Middle East, it is very important to understand this religion. National borders are far from being the basic issue. When Jordan and Egypt controlled the West Bank and Gaza, nobody ever even considered
asking these countries to establish a sovereign Palestinian state there. The world is now seeing a religious and spiritual conflict as Islam contends with the God of the Bible.
Worldly wisdom now commonly teaches that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are the three monotheistic world religions, and it is often implied that all three religions pray to the same God. President Clinton did much to promote this idea, elevating and popularizing Islam in America. This is a very erroneous idea that must be clearly denounced as incorrect.
It is true that Jews and Christians both partially share the same Scriptures, as the Tanakh and Old Testament are identical. The New Testament is built upon the Old Testament and there are
no contradictions between them. Whenever Christianity is deceived into losing this understanding of the Old Testament and the Jewish people, Christian believers become an easy target for deception.
The apostle, Paul clearly warned about this in Romans 11:18, "Do not boast against the branches [the Jewish Patriarchs]. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you."
The Jewish Scriptures are still valid. Jesus Himself, being a Jew, used the Jewish expression "The Law, The Prophets, and The Writings" for the books of the Old Testament(Luke 24:44. Paul's statement about these Scriptures is very important, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness." (2 Tim 3:16). Our God never changes. "I the LORD do not change." Mal 3:6. There is NO contradiction between the Old and the New
Testaments. Both are absolute truth. There is ONE Bible and ONE revelation
It is not true that Islam is now worshipping the God who authored the Holy Scriptures of the Jews and Christians. Mohammad grew up in Mecca in Arabia, belonging to the Quraysh tribe who were then in charge of idol worship at the ancient Kabah shrine, containing the black meteorite stone and at least 360 idols. The word for god or idol in Arabic is "ilah."
Allah was the name for the main idol worshiped in Mecca. The name was probably originally derived from the two Arabic words "al" and "ilah", meaning "the god" or "the idol."
Allah was also used as THE PERSONAL NAME among the Arabs for the moon god.
Its symbol was the crescent moon found on many idols from pre-Islamic Arabia. Every year there was a pilgrimage to Mecca to worship Allah at the shrine of the black meteorite stone. People were taught to turn towards Mecca several times a day. One month every year, beginning and ending with the crescent moon, was dedicated to fasting.S
Mohammad built upon all of these already known forms of idol worship. The only thing changed in Mohammad's "new" religion was his declaration that the pagan moon deity "Allah" was now the only god and he forbade the worship of all the other idols in Mecca. Thus, Muhammad kept his own tribe's god and banished those of all the other tribes, but kept the pagan rituals.
The basic confession within Islam is, "Allahu Akbar", meaning "Allah is greater" [greater than all the other idols]. There is no god but Allah and Mohammad is his prophet." Professor Augustus H. Strong makes an accurate assessment in his "Systematic Theology" when he declares that Islam "is heathenism in
monotheistic form." Mohammad simply took the chief deity within the pantheon in Arabia, and made it the only god, keeping the pagan practices associated with this idol worship. This is of course in complete contradiction to the basic message about the one true God found in the Bible, both in the Old and the New Testament, where idol worship is strictly forbidden. Abraham was chosen to leave the cult worship of the moon god in Ur of the Chaldeans, to go to a different land, in order to give mankind the revelation about the only true God we find in the Bible, as a loving Father and Savior.
The God who chose Abraham to leave the idolatrous worship of the moon god would never retreat backward some four thousand years later, and call another prophet to return to the pagan worship of that same moon god.
To confuse the issue, Mohammad declared that Allah is the god of the Jews and the Christians. Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus were all prophets sent by Allah. Since Mohammad's beliefs did not agree with the Scriptures, Mohammad declared that the Jews and the Christians have perverted the Scriptures although He was unable to show how or where that could have occurred.
Muhammad taught that Allah has now rejected them [Christians and Jews]and cursed them and has sent Muhammad to replace the Bible with the Qur'an; and to replace Judaism and Christianity with Islam. The Qur'an declares "it is the duty of Islam to subjugate and destroy the
infidels, the Christians and the Jews."
Islam is Satan's most powerful and successful plan to destroy true faith in the God of the Bible.
In Islam religion and politics are joined together. Allah is not primarily interested in individuals. Love is a completely foreign concept in Islam. Allah is destined to rule the world. That is the basis of Islam. Everything else is related to this goal. The world is divided into two parts, Dar-al-Salaam meaning "House of Peace" where Allah rules and Dar-al-Harb, "House of War" where the people are not in submission to Allah and Islam.
When Israel was established in 1948, it created a tremendous problem in the Middle East, not only a political problem but more basically, a religious problem. The Jews had invaded the Islamic "House of Peace" turning it into a "House of War" confronting infidel unbelievers with a nation in their midst. Hamas spokesman Ismail Abu Shanab said in an interview, "The Israelis should understand that their existence is the only provocation in the area." And Arafat once again confirmed, "Peace for us means the destruction of Israel."
This is the only condition and possibility for peace in Islamic thinking.
When Israel won their first military conflicts with the Arabs in 1948, it was a tremendous defeat for Allah. Finally, Ayatollah Khomeini while in Iran explained that Israel is a judgment from Allah because of the backslidden "westernized" condition of the Muslims.
THE DEFEAT OF ISRAEL, THEREFORE, HAS BECOME THE PRIMARY SIGN
OF ALLAH'S PLEASURE WITH THE FAITHFUL MUSLIMS..
When Israel's military forces left Lebanon in 2000, Muslim's heralded it as their victory, the first Arab victory in more than fifty years engaged in the conflict of trying to destroy Israel. Muslims regarded it as a confirmation that at last, Allah is pleased with the violent path of the Iranian backed fanatical Muslim guerilla Hezb'Allah (meaning "Allah's Party").
God Word foretells a confrontation with Islam and the stage is now being set to fulfill Biblical prophecy, for eventually it will evolve into a full-scale regional conflict. In describing to His disciples, His return and other future events that would occur in the last days, Jesus commanded His followers not to fear, for wars must come. The truth of God's Word tells us THERE WILL BE NO PEACEFUL SOLUTION! Islam is demanding war and eventually they will be defeated through war. From its very inception Islam has been a religion of war. The word Islam that Mohammad took for his religion was used for a sublime virtue in Arabian culture meaning, "defiance of death, heroism; to die in battle." War is the clear language of Islam.
"We cannot say when a full war between Israel and
Islam will occur, but it is inevitable, unless God intervenes. It could be this month; it could be this year, or next. Yasser Arafat plans to have Israel's anniversary day, May 15, the day Israel, after 1900 years, was reestablishment as a nation, observed by the Arab Muslims as Al-Nakba - "The Catastrophe", and observe it as a major day of violence and confrontation."
God will exalt Himself above all false religion, including Islam, as He did to the false gods of Egypt in 1500 B.C., when He rescued Moses and all the Hebrews from Egypt, at the time of the Exodus. Israel is God's chosen nation, and He will be true to His covenant with Abraham, and fulfill His revealed Word, which He has spoken. As God has promised, He will do it for the glory of His own Name.
'This is what the Sovereign LORD has said:
"'But you, O mountains of Israel,
will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel,
for they will soon come home.
I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor;
you will be plowed and sown, and I will multiply the number of people upon you,
even the whole house of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.
I will increase the number of men and animals upon you,
and they will be fruitful and become numerous.
I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before.
Then you will know that I am the LORD.
I will cause people, my people Israel, to walk upon you.
They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance;
you will never again deprive them of their children."
"Therefore say to the house of Israel,
'This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things,
but for the sake of my holy name,
which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.
I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations,
the name you have profaned among them.
THEN THE NATIONS WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD,
DECLARES THE SOVEREIGN LORD,
WHEN I SHOW MYSELF HOLY THROUGH YOU
BEFORE THEIR EYES.'"
(Ezekiel 36:6-12, 22-23)
God sent His unique and only Son to die for the entire world, and Christians should routinely understand and remember that, walking always in that truth in order to bring "whomsoever" will believe, to truth and freedom in Yeshua Ha Mashiach - Jesus, the Christ.
The Initial Arab Rejection of the Qur'an
According to the Qur'an, itself, the unbelievers of Muhammad's day rejected the Qur'an because it was composed of old stories and myths, which they recognized.
But the unbelievers say, "This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other have helped him do it...Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written; and they are dictated before him morning and evening." (Surah 25:4-5)
The Accusation, then put forth by Muhammad's peers was that the Qur'an rather than being a "new revelation" brought down out of heaven to Muhammad was but a forgery formed from previously existing stories which were known to all.
The Qur'an's weak and inept response was only to attack the character of those who made the accusation and then simply repeat that the Qur'an was brought down from heaven, rather than to establish any form of defense or proof of authenticity.
"In truth, it is they who have put forward an iniquity and a falsehood." (Surah 25:4)
Say: "The Qur'an was sent down by Him who knows the mystery that is in the heavens." (Surah 25:6)
In his commentary, Yusuf Ali states: [3058] "In their misguided arrogance they say, "We have heard such things before: they are pretty tales which have come down from ancient times: they are good for amusement, but who takes them seriously?"
[3059]Yusuf Ali's claim was that "The answer is that the Qur'an teaches spiritual knowledge of what is ordinarily hidden from men's sight, and such knowledge can only come from God to Whom alone is known the Mystery of the whole Creation."
The lack of any valid answer to this questioning of the sources of the Qur'an is crucial to determine whether or not Islam is built on a true foundation, or whether it is indeed a lie, of whether it is of God, or of Satan. Why?
The famous Muslim commentator Maududi explained,
"Apparently this is a weighty argument. For there can be no greater proof of the "fraud" of Prophethood than to specify its source. But it looks strange that no argument has been put forward to refute this charge except a mere denial, as if to say, 'Your charge is an impudent lie: you are cruel and unjust to bring such a false charge against Our Messenger; for the Qur'an is the Word of Allah Who knows all the secrets in the heavens and the earth.'" (The Meaning of the Qur'an, Maududi, vol. III, pgs. 178-179)
The question of whether Islam derived its beliefs and ceremonies from heaven or from this world is crucial. If it obtained its god, its rites, and its doctrines from pre-existing pagan religions, then the claim that it was "brought down from heaven" falls apart.
Jesus is mentioned in ninety verses in the Qur'an, and is one of the most mentioned individuals.
In the BIBLE - The two important characteristics about Jesus are His deity and His sacrificial death:
His deity: I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for except ye believe that I am [He], ye shall die in your sins. John 8:24
"I" (Greek: egw): Word Origin: a primary pronoun of the first person "I" (expressed only when emphatic)
Am (Greek: eimi): to be, to exist, to happen, to be present
These same two Greek words, "egw eimi", "I Am," are used in the following passages:
Rev 1:8: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."
Exod 3:14.8: God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you."
Bible: "His sacrifice or death on the cross: For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!" Romans 5:10
Because of the false assumptions of the Qur'an, it is a common Muslim misunderstanding that Jesus is only a prophet, and not the Son of God.
"The originator of heavens and earth! How can He have a child, when there is for Him no consort (spouse)" Qur'an 6:102
"He has not fathered anyone nor was he fathered, and there is nothing comparable to Him" Qur'an 112:intro
In the time of Muhammed, pagan Meccans did, however, believe that their gods had daughters, but in family units, as gods created in the image of humans.
False Assumptions:
Muslims believe that words like father and son necessarily mean that the Father must have a wife in order to have a son. So they ask, How could Jesus be the son of God when God has no wife?
(The Qur'an uses the phrase "son of Mary" the majority of the time)
Bible: The phrase 'Son of God' establishes a relationship between Christ and the Father.
'Son of God' excludes paternity in the physical sense, as God is Spirit. Christ was the manifested Word of God, Who became flesh, and dwelt among us. John 1:14-18
The Bible only uses the phrase "Son of Mary" once in the New Testament. The statement "Son of Mary" was used by the Jews who did not believe in Jesus.
Mark 6:3.7: Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him.
The unBiblical Roman Catholic view of Mary, as the "Mother of God," has caused confusion for Muslims regarding the phrase "Son of God."
Counter-Examples from Qur'an
Muhammed had an uncle whose name was Abdul Uza, but in the Qur'an he is called Abu Lahab - the father of a flame. Obviously this does not mean that he sired a flame. Qur'an 111:1
A wayfarer is called, Ibn as-sabeel - son of the road. This does not mean that the road has a wife. Qur'an 2:177S
The Qur'an claims that Christ did not die on the Cross, but He did!
"Assuredly they have disbelieved who say that God is the Messiah, son of Mary." Qur'an 5:17
"They only believe a little because of their disbelief and their talking such terrible slander about Mary and (also) for their saying: 'We killed God's messenger Christ Jesus, the son of Mary!' They neither killed nor crucified him, even though it seemed so to them. Those who disagree about it are in doubt concerning it; they have no [real] knowledge about it except by following conjecture. No one is certain they killed him!" Qur'an 4:154-158
Muslims have been taught there was a substitute made for Christ on the Cross.
They do not understand that the entire theme of the Bible is Christ's sacrifice on the Cross, which was witnessed by literally hundreds of eyewitnesses.
In History: Secular nonChristian Historians have recorded and verified Christ's crucifixion.
Jesus and His crucifixion are mentioned by the Roman historians Cornelius Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, and Seutonious, by non-roman historians Thallus and Phlegon, by the satirist Lucian of Samosata, by the Jewish Talmud, and by the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus.
Here is an extract from Tacitus (The Annuals, book 40, paragraph 44, line 5):
"Therefore, to scoth the rumor, Nero substituted as culprits, and punished with the utmost refinements of cruelty, a class of men, loathed for their vices, whom the crowd styled Christians. Christus, the founder of the name, had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of the procurator Pontius Pilatus, and the pernicious superstition was checked for a moment, only to break out once more, not merely in Judaea, the home of the disease, but in the capital itself, where all things horrible or shameful in the world collect and find a vogue.
First, then, the confessed members of the sect were arrested; next, on their disclosures, vast numbers were convicted, not so much on the count of arson as for hatred of the human race. And derision accompanied their end: they were covered with wild beasts skins and torn to death by dogs; or they were fastened on crosses, and, when day light failed many were covered with candle wax and were burned to serve as lamps by night.
Nero had offered his Gardens for the spectacle, and gave an exhibition in his Circus, mixing the crowd in the habit of a charioteer, or mounted on his car. Hence, in spite of a guilt which had earned the most exemplary punishment, there arose a sentiment of pity, due to the impression that they were being sacrificed not for the welfare of the state but to the ferocity of a single man."
Flavius Josephus, in (Antiquities of the Jews, book 43, chapter 3, paragraph 3) writes:
"Now about this time lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed it be lawful to call him a man. For he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of men who receive the truth with pleasure; and drew over to him many of the Jews, and many of the Gentiles. He was the Christ. And when Pilate, at the information of the leading men among us, had condemned him to the cross, those who had loved him at first did not cease to do so. For he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold this and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day."
In the Bible: All four Gospels as well as the Old Testament testify to His crucifixion.
Muslim Misconceptions About the Trinity
Muslims' misunderstanding of the Trinity, causes them to equate the Christian belief in the Trinity as a worship of three different Gods: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
"Believe in God [alone] and His messengers, and do not say: 'Three!' Stopping [it] will be better for you. God is only One God; glory be to Him, beyond His having any son!" Qur'an 4:171
"They disbelieve who say that God is one of three." Qur'an 5:73
Muslims worship a unitarian deity. Unitarian refers to a singular deity who exists in one person, however because the Bible says that "God is Love," and because such love for a "singular" deity would be selflove, which the Bible condemns, this can not be the God who has revealed Himself to man in the Bible.
Christians worship the Triune God who has revealed Himself in Scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christians do not worship 'three gods', but in the one true God who has revealed to man that He exists in one essence, in unity, as three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
[Genesis 1:1] "In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth."
The Hebrew word "Elohim" in this sentence is a plural name for God, implying the Triune nature of God, but most uniquely, is written with a singular verb.
[Isaiah 42:5] Thus says God, the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth....
There are also other scriptures which state that there is only one God.
[Deut 6:4.9] "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.
[1 Tim 2:5.4] For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, through whom are all things made and through whom we exist.
[Mal 2:15.4] Has not the one God made and sustained for us the spirit of life? And what does he desire? Godly offspring. So take heed to yourselves, and let none be faithless to the wife of his youth.
The Study of Christianity For Muslims
Focus on the important issues which the Qur'an denies: Christ's deity, His crucifixion, and the inspiration of the Bible.
Christians are fishers of men, and Muslims are in need of the truth.
[Eph 6:12.7] For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places].
God's people (sheep) will always listen when His Gospel is presented.
[John 10:27.2] Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."
Historical Precedent
The burden of proof rests on those who bring new theories.
Islam came long after the Bible and with a new and different message.
Galatians 1:8: "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!" [Injil]
Christianity does not have to prove itself to Islam, since it has already been established.
Islam has to justify why it comes with a new message that contradicts both the Old and New Testament, if it is also sent from the same God.
Islamic Arguing in a circle (circular reasoning)is common:
Muslims often use circular reasoning to justify their beliefs. For example, "I believe because I have faith" (faith and belief have the same meaning). Another example: proving Allah by the Qur'an and then proving the Qur'an by Allah--"Muhammed is from Allah because the Qur'an says so, and the Qur'an is from Allah because Muhammed said so."
The Bible clarifies by stating that faith is based on evidence, rather than blind belief which has no foundation.
[Hebrews 11:1] Faith is the assurance of things not seen and the evidence of things hoped for.
A False Muslim Claim is that: "The Qur'an is the Word of God because the text of the Qur'an has been preserved perfectly." This argument is incorrect for two reasons:
Factually: The text of the Qur'an has not been preserved perfectly. The text has additions, deletions, conflicting manuscripts, and variant readings like any other ancient writing.
Logically: It is irrelevant whether the text has been preserved because preservation does not logically imply inspiration. A book can be copied perfectly without indicating inspiration.
Obviously, if the Qur'an was originally written without inspiration from God, it does not matter whether or not it has been changed, because, even unchanged, it would still not be an inspired book.
In the Qur'an in Sura as-Saffat, it says "For this was obviously A trial - And We (God) ransomed him (Abraham) With a momentous sacrifice:" (Qur'an 37:106-107)
What was the momentous sacrifice that ransomed Abraham?
There are no details given in the Qur'an.
To learn the complete story requires one to go to the Kalam-e-Muqaddas (the Holy Bible), which was inspired by God.
The Kalam-e-Muqaddas informs us that God's Messiah, the 'Isa (Arab for Jesus), was made the
Kurban(sacrifice) and the ransom for the whole world. Hazrat Yahya (John the Baptist) said of Him: "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the world's sin!" [John 1:29]
Speaking of himself Jesus said, "... the Son of Man didn't come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many" [Matthew 20:28]. Jesus has been presented as a sacrifice and a ransom in the Torah (the Law of Moses), in the Injil (the Gospel of Jesus), in the Zabur (the Psalms of David) and in the Sahaif-e-anbia (the writings of the prophets).
THE INEVITABLE FRUIT OF ISLAM
Currently, the United States is pursuing the illusive dream of maintaining a "balance of power" in the world, through politics which depend on alliances and coalitions with Muslim countries. In the past, the need for alliance and its consequent concessions led to Yalta and the surrender of Eastern Europe to the Soviet Union. In 1990, the United States readily surrendered their original reason for forming as a nation, i.e., "freedom of religion," and stripped crosses from their own military chaplains during the Persian Gulf conflict so as not to "offend" their Muslim "allies."
Now in an attempt to build alliances, President George W. Bush and our best known ministers, civic leaders and politicians have recently repeated in error, Islam's claim for itself, that it is a great religion of "peace," thereby misunderstanding that Islam is the root of the problem which has made necessary our war and that of Israel in the Middle East, against terror. There is an intrinsic problem which stems from Islam itself; and intelligent people everywhere need to understand that. It is not limited to Islam's "radical" adherents alone, as the western press is so fond of declaring, but, on the contrary, it is the very "fruit" of Islam.
Islam is an external religion that teaches peace either through submission or subjugation to religious and political despotism. Its "peace" can be found only in domination. With Muhammad as their example, as an example of fallen man's desire to be "as gods," determining good and evil, Islam is one highly organized form of man playing god. It will eventually fail, for such arrogance before God cannot indefinitely survive His judgment, however, Islam has historically, already submitted the world to centuries of oppression, slavery, murder, and violence. The Armenian massacres of 1915-1924 did not awaken the West to this; nor has Israel's continual struggle since 1948, for acceptance of their very right to exist, so, accordingly, even now, after the September 11th attacks on America many of the eyes in the world will fail to be opened to this prevailing truth about Islam.
The only hope for all people, including those of the Middle East, is the God of Holy Scripture, the Bible, through faith in Jesus, the Christ. Rather than domination by military might, Christianity seeks the hearts and minds of men, through their acceptance of Jesus' righteousness, which God has made readily available to all those who will accept Him in faith. Seeking God's righteousness requires a patient faith and humility and repentance. These qualities may be obtained by the power and might of God's Word and by His Spirit, but never by the power of the sword.
The worldview of Islam has an earthly power, because its adherents have internalized the Qur'an, and recite it mindlessly by rote, which effectively produces the effect of "brainwashing" them beyond the ability to think rationally. Islam's success, however, comes from its false simplicity, which makes even American Christianity's recent easy believism look like deep theology, in contrast. There is nothing more dangerous or more heart breaking than violent, self-willed men who think they are called to a divine mission which guarantees them an eternal heaven of lust.
Though Islam advances by conquest through military might and other governments may at times be called on to respond as ministers of justice, Christians must not seek to destroy its power by their country's weapons of war, but with the gospel. Like the unexpected fall of the Soviet Union, Islam's power will one day crumble. Muslim people are in need of an alternative only the gospel of Jesus Christ can provide. We must oppose the false perception of the peace of Islam with the truth of the peace found only within the kingdom of God, which is available to each of us through Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27
This peace is not available through any other source than through faith in Jesus Christ.
