Welcome to
Overeaters Anonymous of Southcentral Indiana. We welcome the
still suffering and recovering compulsive overeater. We use the 12
Steps and 12 Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, substituting the
words "alcohol" and "alcoholic" with the words
"food" and "compulsive overeater." We
are a fellowship
of individuals who, through shared experience and mutual support,
are recovering from compulsive overeating. We welcome everyone who
wants to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members;
we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting
nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public
or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious
doctrine; we take no position on outside issues. Please remember that we are here to help each other but you will see that we don't do a lot of promoting. We don't promote our own recovery or our individual programs. OA is a program of attraction. Talk with people after the meetings or use the phone list and call people throughout the week. Ask someone to be your sponsor - someone who will help you on your journey to recovering from compulsive overeating. If you have any questions
about any aspect of our program, please email us at
oa@bloomington.in.us,
or use the button below which is on every page. Our phone number
is 812-335-3839. The phone message lists our meeting times and places.
