Announcements 1. Thanks so much for looking us up. Please understand, we have tried to respond to every comment that has come through our response link but, unfortunately, a number of our return messages have come back as undeliverable, for a variety of reasons. The 'ol doc is a bit frustrated by that as he wants to personally answer his mail. If you e-mailed us and did not get a response, try again and check to see that you keyed in your address properly. If you don't want to include your e-mail address, that's fine or key - we just want to make sure those who thought they would hear from us and didn't understand we have tried. Your e-mail addresses go nowhere from here, and never will. 2. A "Reader's Responses" section is soon to go up. If you have thoughts about an article and want us to post your words of wisdom, please send them in. We would like to get a good running dialogue going about these mistakes and suggestions about how to prevent them, other than the 'ol sawbones railing on about the obvious (hope he doesn't read this...). Docs? Patients? Lawyers (even)? Send in your comments and let us know if you want 'em posted. 3. The cartoon for the article "Call Me in the Morning" is now available. 4. I would also like to add a "Commentary" section to serve as a forum for the individual who may have a meaningful statement that pertains to quality issues in medicine, peer review, improvement in health care delivery, prevention of mistakes, or any other suggestions that might change things for the better. About 1000 words. Dying to spout off about something? Did you just throw down your stethoscope and mutter "there aughta be a law"? Go for it. Send a message through the "contact us" link with a phone number or e-mail address and I'll call you about the details (i.e., how to get it to us, what it entails, etc.).
