Acquisition: 1994 Location: Bartholomew County This 98-acre preserve is larger than any park in Bartholomew
County, featuring three miles of maintained walking paths and exceptional spring
wildflowers in reverting farm fields and pastures, with woods along the streams.
The Knobstone Escarpment geology of the northern end provides a scenic vista to
the west. Touch the Earth is home to at least seven species of mammals, 30
species of birds, 26 flowering plant species, and 39 tree species. |
