This 98-acre preserve is larger than any park in Bartholomew County, featuring three miles of maintained walking paths and exceptional spring wildflowers in reverting farm fields and pastures, with woods along the streams. The Knobstone Escarpment geology of the northern end provides a scenic vista to the west. Touch the Earth is home to at least seven species of mammals, 30 species of birds, 26 flowering plant species, and 39 tree species.

Directions:  From SR 46 five miles west of Columbus, turn south on Country Club Road, across SR 46 from the blue water tower. (From Bloomington and Nashville, travel east on SR 46, past Nashville. 4 miles after crossing the Bartholomew County line, turn right onto Country Club Road, the one after Wolf Creek Road.) The entrance and parking area for Touch the Earth are approximately a half mile south of SR 46 on the left, across from a stone house.  (See map at bottom of this page.)
